Interac® e-Transfer

Transferring money can now be done quickly and securely with INTERAC® e-Transfer! All you need is your recipient's email address or mobile phone number to send money in just a few quick and easy steps. This is the information that will be used by INTERAC® to complete your e-Transfers. At any time, you can update this information by simply clicking on Edit Sender Profile.

When to use INTERAC® e-Transfer:

  • Splitting the bill in a restaurant
  • Paying a roommate for your portion of rent or bills
  • Sending some birthday cash to a family member
  • Paying for everyday purchases such as housekeeping, lawn care, babysitting or home repairs

How to send and receive an INTERAC® e-Transfer:

  1. Log in to Belgian-Alliance Credit Union's Online Banking and navigate to the "e-Transfer" screen.
  2. Create your Sender Profile. If you are sending, add your recipient - make sure to create a security question that only your recipient knows the answer to.
  3. Choose how to notify your recipient, the amount you wish to send and which account the funds will be transferred from. You can also choose to send a special message or a memo to your recipient.
  4. Click Send! The funds are debited from your account immediately.
  5. Your Recipient will receive notification that you have sent them an INTERAC® e-Transfer and will follow the links provided in the email or test message to deposit their funds.*
  6. Once they have answered the Security Question correctly, they can deposit the funds immediately - no holds, no hassle!

*If your recipient has the autodeposit feature enabled, you will be notified at the time of the transaction request that this feature has been enabled. The recipient will receive notification that the funds have been deposited their account. There will be no security question to answer.

** Once the funds have been deposited by the recipient it cannot be cancelled. Be sure to verify the email address before you send money.**

Enhanced User e-Transfer® Features

REQUEST MONEY

Members can easily request money they are owed with the Interac Request Money feature. When you send a request for money, the recipient is notified instantly and can accept the request. If accepted, the requested amount will be automatically deposited to your bank account.


AUTODEPOSIT

Receive money quickly and securely with Interac's Autodeposit feature. Autodeposit makes receiving money simpler by linking your e-mail to your bank account.

Per Week: $10,000.00
Per Month: $20,000.00

Service Fees:
Sending e-Transfer: $1.50
Requesting e-Transfer: $1.50
Receiving e-Transfer: FREE
Cancelling e-Transfer: FREE

Note: All e-Transfer® Service Fees are non-refundable.
          Service Fees for the total amount of e-Transfers® sent through the month will be    
          withdrawn from the account at the end of the month, based on the Service Account 
          Package.
