Belgian-Alliance Credit Union offers a variety of personal lending products that can be modified to suit your needs. Whether it's a small loan to pay for an upcoming trip or a larger loan to purchase a brand new vehicle, our team of Financial Services Officers are here for you.
Personal Loans can be used to finance the purchase of a wide variety of goods and services, including vehicles, furniture, appliances, recreational equipment, credit card debt consolidation and much more. Flexible term lengths are available at competitive fixed or variable interest rates and payments can be made on a weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly basis. Personal Loans are open to pre-payment or payoff at any time without penalty.
Lines of Credit
Personal Lines of Credit offer the benefit of utilizing credit when it is required, such as in the event of an emergency, spur of the moment home expenditures or unforeseen car repairs. Interest is charged on the amount borrowed for the number of days used. Your Line of Credit is accessible for Interac® Direct Payment purchases and ATM cash withdrawals.
RRSP Loans & Lines of Credit
RRSP Loans and Lines of Credit allow you to borrow money to top up your RRSP contribution and repay the debt over the course of the year. We offer rates as low as Prime when the RRSP is purchased at Belgian-Alliance Credit Union. As with our Personal Loans, we offer flexible repayment terms to best suit your needs.
Student Loans & Lines of Credit
If you are going back to school to further your education, talk to us about a Student Loan or Line of Credit. We understand the importance of flexibility in your finances in this situation, offering repayment terms that can be modified to suit your financial situation.
As a proactive approach, you could consider a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) or the Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP), which allows you to redeem your RRSPs for use towards post-secondary education while committing to repay these funds after your schooling terminates.
Your home is likely one of the biggest purchases that you will ever make. That is why Belgian-Alliance Credit Union is committed to offering you a mortgage that will best suit your financial needs.
Belgian-Alliance Credit Union's mortgages are designed to offer a high level of flexibility. We offer a full range of mortgage terms from 1 to 5 years, as well as a variable rate option and your choice of either an open or closed prepayment option. Amortization periods of up to 25 years are available. Flexible payment options allow you to make your payments weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly. Cash Back options are also available to fund renovations or help with the purchase of needed items such as furniture, lawn equipment, etc.
Belgian-Alliance Credit Union offers both Conventional and High Ratio Insured Mortgages. High Ratio Insured Mortgages are mortgages that are insured by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) or Genworth. This insurance allows you to purchase a home with as little as 5% down.
Cottages & Rental Properties
Residential Mortgages are also available for cottages and rental properties. Contact your branch today for more information.
We invite you to contact us and get a pre-approval on your mortgage with Belgian-Alliance Credit Union. Getting pre-approved gives you peace of mind and allows you to focus on the homes that will fit into your financial situation. We provide this service for free to all of our members and non-members and there is absolutely no obligation to proceed with the mortgage after obtaining pre-approval. Interest rates are guaranteed for 90 days, allowing you time to search for your new home. We also offer an interest rate guarantee - if rates should fall within this timeframe, Belgian-Alliance Credit Union will offer you the lowest rate. What could be easier?
Home Equity Line of Credit
Home Equity Lines of Credit allow you to access equity within your home to use at your discretion. Once approved, the Line of Credit remains available for life's unforeseen events. Talk to one of our Financial Services Officers to see how we can help.
